Mission Statement

Analog Submission Press is a guerrilla publisher based in the city of Leeds, United Kingdom. We are built on a foundation of punk rock ethics and DIY sensibilities. And that's not punk as in 'Mohawks', but punk as in 'carve your own path, form your own ideas, question everything and be conscious of your actions'.

We publish booklets of transgressive writing. Writing that represents the best of the contemporary literary underground. Publishers and readers often refer to these booklets as zines, chapbooks, chapter books or pamphlets. Our pamphlets are hand assembled and printed in a home garage using a repurposed laser printer we reclaimed from the local skip.

As of September 2020 all new pamphlet covers are printed on 100% recycled paper. Our pamphlet interiors are printed on FSC approved paper from sustainable sources. 10% of the profit from every chapbook (published from September 2020 onwards) will be donated to charity. These charities will vary, but the aim will always be to direct what little funds we raise to those who have been the most marginalised by the unfettered thirst of the global industrial complex. This will be donated as a lump sum once each chapbook has sold out.

Our pamphlets are concise at around 20 pages and are intended to be read in a single sitting. The strength of a pamphlet is in its brevity and immediacy. It's a showcase of an author's work and style. It's a primer for new and exciting writing on the rise. Pamphlets are printed as limited-run publications. Our output ranges from as few as 25, to as many as 200 copies per issue. Each copy is hand numbered. Our first chapbook was published in August 2017 and since then we’ve pushed out over 160 publications from some of the most exciting and recognisable writers in the contemporary small press.

Always Lo-Fi. Always DIY.
